Alaska Direct Bus Lines

Alaska Direct Bus Line provides limited year round bus service connecting Anchorage, Fairbanks and Whitehorse, all going through Tok. When operating on their summer schedule, they travel on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. During the winter, they operate on Wednesdays and Sundays only. Scheduled stops in smaller communities located on their routes are also offered. Buses travel to Tok, where passengers and luggage are transferred to the bus going to the passenger’s final destination. They also offer handicap and freight services with advanced notice, and customized charter service. Please consult their website (link below) for the latest information and other details.

Their website notes that riders should check with their reservations office 24 hours prior to departure to be sure the bus is still going "as Alaska Direct Bus Line has the right to alter, or cancel any routes at any time. If no passengers are booked, the route may be canceled for that day."

Reservations required

Baggage: 2 pieces are accepted. Any additional will run $10.00 per bag. Bikes are $10.00

Payments: Visa/MasterCard/Cash all fares must be paid before departure.

Cancellations: No refunds on the day of travel. 50% refunds given with 24 hour notice - 80% refunds give 7 days prior to travel date - Full refund if canceled same day the reservations were made.

Border Information: You will need - ID/Birth Certificate - no criminal convictions - and at least $300 in cash or credit cards. Please call border for any questions. 1-867-862-7230.

No alcohol - drugs - weapons allowed on bus

Alaska Direct Bus Lines has the right to refuse, alter or cancel any reservations or routes at anytime.
